Earliest Beginner - Step 1 - Piano

This is the first book of a series of three tutors which teaches the most important fundamentals of note reading and counting through a comprehensive system.

Step 1 offers the piano and keyboard student an opportunity to learn note reading and counting at the most basic preparatory level and slowly introduces the student to recognition of right and left hand notes which are within the middle C range. This book focuses on good note reading as well as counting at the earliest levels and introduces the learner to note values such as semibreves, minims, crotchets, dotted minims and quavers. All simple time signatures are introduced with various basic keys and accidentals. All pages of these tutors come in vibrant colour and are all accompanied by a back up track CD which also demonstrates the performance for the student in order to get the appropriate feel before playing in an ensemble.

Step 1 is loaded with popular tunes including Old Mc Donald, Yankee Doodle, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Love Me Tender (to name a few) as well as some original works by the author which are written in international styles such as Snake Charmer (India), The Indians Are Coming (North America) and many more. Ideal for the piano keyboard novice.
